Three charities have been shortlisted for the NR Times Charity of the Year award, sponsored by Burnetts Solicitors.
The award recognises those charities whose interventions are so critical to the lives of those living with neurological illness or injury, working in innovative and proactive ways to sustain and grow the organisation, while putting service users at the heart of everything they do.
The award is one of 14 up for grabs at the second annual NR Times Awards, delivered in partnership with Elysium Healthcare.
Winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on November 29.

Headway Derby is a small registered charity that supports brain injured people and their families/carers every day.
We were founded in 1994 and in 2021 celebrate 27 years of working with the most incredible people.
At Headway Derby, we pride ourselves on our whole family approach to support, post brain injury, ensuring that whatever a families make up is, we support them as a whole.
Over the past 12 months Headway Derby has really achieved some incredible things both in service delivery, but also strategically in order to sustain the charity long term.

We are the Spinal Injuries Association. We are the expert, guiding voice for tens of thousands of people with spinal cord injury, their loved ones and their supporters across the United Kingdom.
A third of our staff and over 80 per cent of our trustees live with a SCI.
Sustaining a spinal cord injury is life-changing but it is not life-ending.
With the right advice, advocacy and support, living a fulfilled life after spinal cord injury is not only possible, it is a right.
Every day we strive to make this a reality for our membership of over 19,000 people.

The Silverlining (Brain Injury) Charity operates in London and various locations across the UK to support people who are living with complex neurological life-challenges and their families, increasing wellbeing and ensuring positive interaction between each other and their community.
Through providing various neurological therapies, activities and volunteering opportunities, our team of trained volunteers and therapists enable our Silverliners to find purpose, meaning and connection in their lives following injury.
Our mission statement reads: “Our mission is to unite, engage and rehabilitate all those affected by brain injury with positivity, purpose and advocacy in their local communities and beyond.”
Congratulation to the shortlised charities and many thanks to everyone who entered.
