Neuro-rehabilitation centre Reconnections is inviting brain injury professionals to take part in a survey, which will support its team to continue to develop its life-changing ABI rehab.
Since opening its doors in June 2020, Reconnections has delivered outcomes for brain injury survivors which often surpass all expectations, with head of service Claire Appleton believing the service can “transform brain injury rehabilitation in the UK”.
The new survey, which will take just five minutes to complete, will enable Reconnections to continue to build the insight needed to develop its service even further through keeping track of market trends.
Commenting on the launch of the survey, Claire Appleton said: “We are committed to working with case managers, solicitors, insurance companies and all brain injury professionals to deliver the most effective ABI rehabilitation possible.
“In order to do so, we would very much welcome the views of the brain injury community.”
Reconnections, part of the Lake District Calvert Trust, released its first clinical outcomes report earlier this year.
The findings were:
- 100 per cent of participants improved their ability to carry out everyday activities
- 100 per cent of participants needed less support when they were discharged and 60 per cent have progressed onto independent living
- 100 per cent of participants reported an improved hope for the future and an improved sense of purpose and direction in their life
- 90 per cent of participants achieved their goals
- 80 per cent of participants felt more empowered through greater participation and control over decisions that affect their lives.
