Therapy provider of the year shortlist revealed

Three leading therapy providers have been shortlisted for an NR Times Award.

The Therapy Provider of the Year award recognises therapy teams that help people regain skills, rebuild confidence and live more independently after serious injury.

This year’s finalists show what that can mean in practice, from making a cup of tea without help to using both hands again decades after a spinal cord injury.

About the sponsor

N‑able Services is a leading UK provider of specialist case management, with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals with complex injuries and conditions, including brain and spinal injuries and neurological disorders.

Working from regional teams across the North West, Midlands, London and the South, N‑able delivers tailored, clinically led support designed around each client’s individual needs.

Active Neuro, the specialist neurological rehabilitation division of Active Care Group, provides multidisciplinary rehabilitation for adults across eight centres in England.

Active Neuro combines intensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation with personalised goals, advanced technology and independently benchmarked outcomes, helping people achieve meaningful improvements in independence, confidence and quality of life.

Some patients arrive straight from an acute hospital stay; others after a slower recovery.

Whatever the starting point, Active Neuro meets people where they are and personalise their path to a better life.

The Children’s Trust offers one of the only services outside of an acute setting commissioned by NHS England to deliver intensive, interdisciplinary neurorehabilitation to children and young people with acquired brain injury and neurodisability.

For more than four decades, the charity has been at the forefront of paediatric neurorehabilitation in the UK.

The therapy team have built momentum to move closer to establishing the first fully integrated paediatric neurotechnology programme of its kind in the UK outside of the private sector.

Ultimately, enabling more children to access life-changing rehabilitation and live the best life possible.

The programme offers technology use for inpatient and outpatient services, with some children accessing the devices on site as part of The Children’s Trust’s community rehabilitation provision.

Neurokinex is a well-established specialist neurorehabilitation provider, operating across three centres in Bristol, Hemel Hempstead and Gatwick, with paediatric services now fully rolled out at the Bristol centre — extending specialist rehabilitation to a wider range of clients and families.

Neurokinex’s relationship with ARC-EX began with early, pioneering involvement in ONWARD Medical’s PathFinder2 clinical study, and has since grown into genuine, hands-on depth of expertise in this non-invasive spinal cord stimulation device — embedding it safely into everyday clinical delivery across its three centres and exploring how more people can access it safely.

By combining established, multi-centre delivery with genuine innovation and real, measurable outcomes for the people it supports, Neurokinex is going over and above in the pursuit of better outcomes for every client it treats.
