Trainee solicitor takes on triathlon for Seashell Trust

A trainee solicitor is taking part in a triathlon to raise vital funds for a charity which supports children and young people with disabilities.
Alexander Lannigan will swim, cycle and run the Salford Triathlon this coming weekend, to raise money for the Seashell Trust.
The charity works nationally to support children and young people with complex disabilities and communication needs. It also delivers specialist education, alongside residential and respite care, at its site in Cheadle Hulme, in Greater Manchester.
Alexander, a trainee solicitor with law firm Slater and Gordon, chose Seashell Trust for his fundraising after being impressed when seeing its work first-hand.
“Slater and Gordon is proud to partner with Seashell Trust, and the way in which the charity delivers support to young people and their families is truly inspirational,” says Alexander, who will be completing the triathlon with his friend Kyle McMillan.
“Seashell’s work genuinely is life-changing, but without fundraising the team cannot deliver that. This is why I want to play my role in supporting its work. We would be so grateful for any support and donations will keep us motivated t

hrough every stroke, pedal and step.”
Hannah Baines, corporate partnerships manager at Seashell Trust, says: “We are incredibly grateful to Alexander for taking on this incredible challenge in support of Seashell.
“His determination and compassion reflect the very heart of what we do, helping children and young people with the most complex needs to thrive. Every stroke, pedal, and step he takes is a powerful act of hope. Fundraisers like Alexander don’t just raise money they raise awareness, belief, and the promise of a brighter future. Every donation made in his name is a message to our young people that they are seen, valued, and never alone.”
Helen Lewis, principal lawyer at Slater and Gordon, adds: “We work closely with Seashell and know only too well the huge impact they make on the lives of families – but, as with all charities, fundraising is difficult in the current climat
e, and is essential to the delivery of its services.
“It’s fantastic that Alexander has chosen Seashell as the beneficiary of his fundraising from the Salford Triathlon. Through the efforts of Alex, and the generosity of those who sponsor him, this fantastic charity and the families it supports will benefit.”
