New award to celebrate kindness in brain injury care

This year’s NR Times Awards sees the introduction of a new category celebrating kindness in brain injury care.

The Kindness in Brain Injury Care Award will recognise an individual or team who has brought not only skill and expertise to their role, but a profound sense of compassion and humanity.

The recipient will have gone out of their way to ensure that every person in their care feels valued, understood and never alone in their journey.

Whether through a reassuring word, a moment of patience, or a small but meaningful act of care, they have shown that kindness is not simply a quality but a cornerstone of truly outstanding support.

The award is sponsored by The Silverlining – a charity which recognises that ‘Kindness Changes Everything’:

The Silverlining is a community where people affected by brain injury come to heal, connect, and grow.

For nearly 20 years, the charity has supported people affected by brain injury – not just in recovery but rediscovery.

Founded on kindness, creativity, opportunity and shared hope, The Silverlining supports survivors and their families through a vibrant mix of online activities, local meet ups and purpose-driven projects.
