For our sixth spotlight session, we’ll be highlighting the Motek HERO Solution.
What is the Motek HERO Solution?
The HERO Solution is a 5-system solution for complete functional movement rehabilitation, created in partnership between Motek and Monitored Rehab Systems.
The HERO Solution includes:
- FysioRoadmap: Software which provides support by documenting each phase of the rehabilitation progress, guiding therapists and patients through each step of the clinical pathway. The software delivers indications for training goals, baseline and follow-up assessments, and receives synchronised feedback from all the devices within the HERO Solution.
- C-Mill HERO: An instrumented treadmill for gait and balance training which simulates challenging everyday scenarios through virtual reality exercises. The C-Mill HERO includes an adjustable pitch for uphill walking and dual-tasking exercises.
- MR Functional Squat: An exercise device which functionally trains one or both legs via a squatting motion. Patients can train early with a low-load capacity.
- MR Cable Column: A device for functional exercises for upper extremities, lower extremities and the spine. The upper body boom allows the pulley to be positioned high on the device, which makes vertical and downwards movements against the load possible, thus expanding the range of functional exercises.
- MR Cube: This device makes it possible to turn any device into a visual feedback tool, enabling you to use all unique features of the MRS Device Software on any training device, even down to as basic as ordinary dumbbells. The MR Cube is a highly portable device, which gives extensive flexibility to the therapist for offering advanced feed-back exercises at different locations and on various setups.
Throughout all the HERO Solution’s devices, patients engage with motivating and fun real-time visual exercises which track progress and keep patients working hard throughout their therapy session.
How does the HERO Solution help patients?
When patients experience mobility problems after neurological conditions such as stroke, they require high-level early rehabilitation which offers the best chance for a full recovery.
The HERO Solution focuses on functional strength, gait, balance, coordination and motor control to improve these mobility issues as well as improve muscular and cardiovascular health.
How does the HERO Solution help therapists?
The HERO Solution makes planning and treatment easy, as the four devices are synchronised to one software platform for a highly efficient therapy setting. Patient intake and treatment plan selection will automatically suggest which clinically based assessments, tests and questionnaires to take and which interventions to follow on individual devices. The reporting enables follow up on progression from every device and an easy and effective documentation of the clinical pathway.
