Brainkind has announced the appointment of Andy Cole OBE as its new permanent chief executive officer, joining the organisation in November.
Cole brings extensive leadership experience from across the health and social care sector.
He joins Brainkind from Royal Star & Garter, where he currently serves as Chief Executive.
He also holds the position of Chair of the National Care Forum and has previously led the charity Bliss as Chief Executive, alongside holding senior leadership roles at Leonard Cheshire.
His appointment marks a new chapter for Brainkind as the organisation continues its mission to support people with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Commenting on his appointment, Cole said: “I am thrilled to be joining Brainkind as Chief Executive in November.
“Brainkind is an organisation deeply committed to making a difference to the lives of people who have experienced brain injury, and I am truly honoured to be stepping in to lead such an innovative and dedicated organisation.

Cole will succeed interim chief executive officer Chris Askew and will work closely with colleagues, people supported by Brainkind, families and partners across the sector to further strengthen the organisation’s services and reach.
