Law firm Stewarts and rehab specialists STEPS were the latest visitors to Calvert Reconnections in Keswick last week.

Delegates from the two companies gained an insight into Reconnections’ ground-breaking approach to ABI rehab through conversations with the centre’s team of Neuro Occupational Therapists, Neuro Physiotherapists, Neuro Speech and Language Therapists, Neuro Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners and Rehabilitation Coaches.

In recent months, Calvert Reconnections has hosted a number of open days for brain injury solicitors, case managers, NHS clinicians and brain injury professionals.

Commenting on the day, Ben Townsend, Partner and Head of Personal Injury (Leeds) at Stewarts said: “I would happily refer clients to the service, which I think is impressive and genuinely offers a different approach towards neuro rehabilitation.”

Said Claire Appleton, Head of Service at Calvert Reconnections:

“It was a real pleasure to welcome Stewarts and STEPS to the centre.

“We are always thrilled to demonstrate how our unique approach combines cognitive and physical rehabilitation with vocational and outdoor activities delivered within a unique non-clinical environment.”

Calvert Reconnections this month celebrated its fourth anniversary.

The centre has firmly established itself as an integral part of the ABI rehab community with participants of all ages achieving life-changing outcomes.

The centre is currently taking referrals.  Please go to www.calvertreconnections.org.uk for further details.
