NR Times to shine a light on remote rehab innovators

NR Times is set to recognise outstanding examples of technology or revised ways of working which fully embrace remote rehab and the opportunities it brings.

The Remote Rehab Initiative award is one of 14 up for grabs at the second annual NR Times Awards.

The awards aim to shine a light on excellence in a wide range of categories, representing the many factors which influence the neuro-rehab journey.

The Remote Rehab Initiative award in sponsored by Askham Rehab –  part of Askham Village Community, a family-run operation with more than 30 years’ experience of working in the sector, including a decade within the field of neurological rehabilitation.

Askham Rehab recognises excellence as something that goes beyond the norms of accepted practice and towards its pride in achieving a ‘best-in-class’ service.

Aspect Publishing Commercial Editor, Gordon Stribling, said: “NR Times is proud to once again celebrate neuro rehab professionals and organisations finding new working practices and innovations to support remote rehabilitation for patients.

“This award promises to be highly competitive and we look forward to shortlisting the entries.”

Last year‘s Remote Rehab Initiative award was won by Enable Therapy Services.

Steph Fleet, head of service development and customer relationships at Think Therapy 1st, was one of the judges.

She said: “There has been a really positive move towards devising innovative methods to meet clients needs across neuro-rehab, and this award is very important in showcasing some of the great work in achieving this.

“The assessment programme delivered by Enable Therapy Services is very robust and comprehensive, and will undoubtedly enable so many more people to access rehab, and is a great example of what can be achieved remotely.”
