UKABIF Awards – deadline approaching

Only a few days remain to enter this year’s UKABIF Awards, which recognise creativity, dedication and inspiration across the field of brain injury and neuro-rehabilitation.

The annual UKABIF Awards will be presented at the UKABIF Summit on November 7, and the deadline for all four categories is Friday, September 30.

The awards are:

The UKABIF Film Award

The award aims to encourage people to use film to show how a brain injury has affected their life. You can make any sort of film from an animation to a biographical film or documentary style. Films should be no longer than five minutes. The winner will receive £500.

The Mike Barnes Innovation Award

If you have a great idea which will help people with acquired brain injuries, please consider making an application. – the winner will receive mentoring and support from NIHR Brain MIC.

The Stephen McAleese Award for Inspiration

If you know someone who makes an award-worthy contribution to the field of acquired brain injury please make a nomination. Anyone can make a nomination – below there is a short, simple form to complete which asks you to give their name, details and state why you think they deserve to win an award.

The UKABIF Poster Award

UKABIF are pleased to be able to offer space for poster presentations at their forthcoming conference.

Any non-commercial poster related to acquired brain injury is welcome at the meeting. The presenting author is expected to register for and attend the UKABIF Summit. The winner will received £100 and free entry to the summit in 2023.
