Wife shares husband’s stroke recovery story

David suffered a brain stem stroke on June 20th, 2022.

He was initially admitted to Heartlands Hospital, then transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for neurosurgery and a stay in the ICU, before returning to Heartlands.

Over the following four months, David faced multiple infections, became severely unwell, and had very limited rehabilitation while remaining mostly in bed.

He stayed at Heartlands until October, then continued his recovery at Mosley until March 2023.

During his time at Mosley, David began to show signs of meaningful progress.

It was there that the staff recommended Circle Rehabilitation as the next step to help him continue building on the improvements he was starting to make.

Since arriving at Circle Rehabilitation, David’s progress has been steady.

His wife, Anne, shared, “He’s improving — he’s doing things that he couldn’t do before coming here.”
