Breakthrough’s specialist care team continues to grow

Case management and complex care company Breakthrough is expanding its specialist care operation in response to demand, further strengthening its ability to support individuals and families after life-changing illness or injury

Breakthrough’s specialist care team delivers rehabilitation-focused packages of support, with its growing numbers of carers and personal assistants helping clients to retain or regain independence and rebuild their lives.

Working primarily across the Southwest of England, Breakthrough’s care team is now expanding in response to demand for its services, including the provision of 24-hour complex care, and the company is looking for new care professionals to join its team.

Following new commissions in Devon and Dorset, Breakthrough is concentrating recruitment particularly on those key areas.

The specialist care service at Breakthrough – rated Outstanding by CQC – adds to its expertise in case management, which sees it appointed by lawyers nationally to support their clients after serious injury.

By having both care and case management delivered by one provider, less of a person’s care and rehab needs are outsourced, creating more cohesive and streamlined provision.

Both divisions of Breakthrough are currently seeing significant periods of growth – with seven case managers recently being added to its team, strengthening its presence in key areas, as well as moving into new areas including Scotland – making it a strong time of development for the business, which was founded in 2018.

In the six years it has been in operation, Breakthrough has built a reputation as a leading provider of both care and case management, with its commitment to its clients and focus on digital and tech-led rehab approaches seeing it hailed as a dynamic new entrant to the sector.

“Our care teams are committed to optimising functional rehabilitation, which sees us working with clients every day to maximise their potential and help them achieve their goals,” says Annabelle Lofthouse, CEO of Breakthrough, who has over 30 years’ experience in nursing.

“We work with highly complex cases, both as care professionals and case managers, and are very proud of how we support our clients and the progress we are able to support them to achieve.

“Our expansion comes directly because of our reputation for delivering results and our measurable successes as case managers in the major trauma sector.  This marks a really exciting time for Breakthrough, as we grow across the business, and we are actively looking for outstanding care professionals to join our team.”
