Rehab support service launches for serious injuries

An in-house early rehabilitation and support service as been launched by Serious Injury Law to support recovery for seriously injured individuals.

Serious Injury Law has confirmed that the service will focus on early intervention, giving clients access to specialist treatment and care.

The company has said that the service goes beyond legal representation, also offering medical, rehabilitation and emotional support services.

“Early intervention can make a real difference to the speed and extent of recovery,” said Caroline Morris, managing director of Serious Injury Law, which was acquired by Fletchers Group in 2024.

 

 

“By offering this service from the outset, we will help our clients regain their independence and overall wellbeing much quicker. The good news is that this service will greatly increase their chances of becoming productive members of society again, more quickly, and at less cost to the taxpayer.”

Support offered under the service includes a multidisciplinary team input to care and support, comprehensive care assessment and the creation of personalised recovery plans, identification of early rehabilitation pathways and services management, counselling and psychological support, and support with adaptive technologies and equipment.

Further, the service will provide lived experience peer support and financial planning and management, including emergency planning to welfare and benefits advice.

Morris said: “Our clients face significant physical, emotional and financial hurdles after sustaining a life changing injury and we believe our role goes beyond legal representation.

“Since establishing our Serious Injury practice, our teams have placed huge value on securing the right care and support are in place to help our clients and families move forward after a serious injury. By integrating early rehabilitation and support services, we are helping our clients get the holistic care they need to rebuild their lives.”
