Exemplar to bring YetiCare interactive tablets to its homes

Exemplar Health Care is rolling out YetiCare across its English care homes after introducing 15 tablets at selected services.
The care provider operates more than 60 complex care services across England and decided to expand the technology following a positive response to the initial rollout.
YetiCare combines a large-format interactive tablet with purpose-built software and applications for care and education settings.
Activities include games, creative tasks, music, reminiscence and movement-based exercises, which can be used independently, one-to-one or in groups.
The technology is designed to support cognitive and physical development, engagement and participation among people with a wide range of needs and abilities.
Andy Hamilton, senior digital project manager at Exemplar Health Care, said: “We’re always thinking about how we can improve the quality of life of the people we support, and YetiCare has been a really positive addition to our homes.
“Whilst the games and activities are often what people notice first, our interest goes much further than entertainment alone.
“We see real potential in using the technology to support cognitive stimulation, encourage physical activity, promote social interaction and create more opportunities for meaningful engagement.
“As with any investment in care technology, we’re keen to understand the measurable impact it can have over time.
“Whether that’s participation levels, engagement, wellbeing or other outcomes, we want to move beyond simply introducing technology and better understand where it can make a meaningful difference.
“The positive response from our service users and staff during the initial rollout has given us the confidence to expand its use across more of our services, and we’re excited to continue learning from that journey.”
Jesper Tana, channel sales manager at YetiCare, said: “We’re really pleased to be taking this next step with Exemplar Health Care. The fact they’ve introduced YetiCare into their services and are now choosing to expand its use is something we’re incredibly proud of.
“It’s an exciting step for YetiCare in the UK, and together with Remark Group, we’re looking forward to building on it and working with more care providers across the country.”
YetiCare is supplied and supported in the UK by its official UK partner, Remark Group, which provides demonstrations and trials, installation, training and ongoing support.
