Specialist professional and financial services firm Frenkel Topping Group has strengthened its position in the care and case management sector through the addition of two new businesses to its growing portfolio.
Frenkel Topping has announced the acquisitions of expert witness specialist Somek and Associates and case managers N-Able Services, building its capability and presence in personal injury and clinical negligence further still.
The group has made significant recent gains in care and case management, with an ongoing acquisition plan in the space, supported by its
£10million fundraise earlier this year.
In a significant new offering for the business, Frenkel Topping diversified into case management last year with the launch of Keystone Case Management, which widened its reach even further through the addition of new key services to clients.
Somek, established in 1997, is one of the most esteemed names in expert witness work, and its acquisition makes Frenkel Topping a market leader in the field, particularly in relation to care reports in the personal injury and clinical negligence sector.
N-Able has grown since its inception in 2002 into one of the largest independent case management businesses in the UK, working directly with many leading law and insurance firms to support their clients through rehabilitation.
Its acquisition builds on the presence established by London-based Keystone, and N-Able’s base in the North West allows new geographical reach for Frenkel Topping in its case management offering and provides a platform for further growth.

Richard Fraser
Richard Fraser, CEO of Frenkel Topping, said: “The acquisitions reflect the accelerated execution of our M&A growth strategy. With the acquisitions of Somek and N-Able, Frenkel Topping has significantly enhanced its position in the care and case management space, supplementing its Keystone business, which the company launched in 2021.
“As stated at the time of the company’s fundraise earlier this summer, the board believes care and case management reports to be the largest reports required by solicitors pre-settlement and in addition, case management work post-settlement presents opportunities for repeat revenues.
“These specific areas are well covered by the addition of N-Able and Somek and should further increase our touchpoints on the journey of a potential claimant, standing the company in even better stead for unlocking AUM mandates from successful claimants.
“In case management, location is relevant as in-person appointments and associated travel are key to delivering the best service possible. N-Able’s location in the North extends our care and case management nationally while Keystone, continues to deliver services to our clients in the South.
“These are excellent acquisitions and I welcome the businesses and their employees to the Frenkel Topping Group.”
