Watch: Spinal cord injury – Supporting independence and building an accessible world

This morning, NR Times hosted an exclusive webinar in celebration of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day 2024.

In it, six expert panellists offered their insights on the accessibility challenges facing the spinal cord injury community and considered what a more accessible world could look like.

The lively, hour-long discussion provided a broad range of perspectives from stakeholders working with the SCI community, as well as those directly affected by disability.

Panellists:

  • Mick Laffey, Legal Director (Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team), Burnetts Solicitors LLP
  • Susie Turnball, Specialist Therapist, Spinal Injuries Association
  • Siobhan McSweeney, Independent Case Manager and Expert Witness, MCS Case Management (Ireland)
  • James Nocker, Expert Witness, William Martin
  • Jamie Storey, Lead Physiotherapist, STEPS Rehabilitation
  • Jayne Hallford, Community Physiotherapist, SP Therapy Services

Catch up with the discussion now on YouTube.

We’ll be running more webinars throughout 2024.
