The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to advancing the care, research and advocacy for those affected by brain injuries.
The shortlisted candidates have dedicated their lives to improving the wellbeing of individuals recovering from brain injuries, with each playing a pivotal role in shaping the rehab and recovery landscape.

NR Times Lifetime Achievement Award Shortlist
Dominic Hurley

Dominic sustained a severe injury in 1994, leaving him in a coma for over three months.
Through a lot of hard work and self determination he is now a Peer Support Worker in Neuro-rehab settings, and has raised over £100,000 for charities.
At Ariya Neurocare, Dominic works with others who have sustained a brain injury and helps them and their families get through a traumatic time.
Dr Rudi Coetzer

Dr Rudi Coetzer is the Clinical Director at Brainkind where he leads a multidisciplinary team of senior clinicians who work with people with brain injury and other neurological
conditions in a network of hospitals, neurological centres, residential homes and supported living services across the UK.
His career spans over two decades and has been peppered with a number of achievements and significant contributions to improving the care for people with acquired brain injury.
Jo Clark-Wilson

Jo is a pioneer and an inspirational leader in the world of brain injury.
She instrumental in setting up three brain injury rehabilitation units and in 1994 was one of the early founders of brain injury case management in the UK and went on to set up BABICM with fellow trailblazers.
She created the original BABICM standards for case management from which all case management practice has developed.
