Investment refurb milestone at Greater Manchester neurological service

An investment refurbishment project to transform several specialist neurological services in Yorkshire and Lancashire, operated by National Care Group, has reached another milestone.

With six sites in the North of England, the renovations are enhancing services to meet the rehabilitation needs of those recovering from an acquired brain injury (ABI).

The latest refurbishment to be completed is at specialist neurological service Albert Road in Levenshulme, Greater Manchester.

Almost £30K has been invested to transform internal spaces. The upgrades are part of a continued investment, with communal areas redecorated two years ago.

• All seven en-suite bathrooms have been upgraded to meet the needs of the people we support, with each person having a say in the room’s colour theme
• A brand-new kitchen has been installed, creating a space that empowers people to enhance their cooking skills.

National Care Group collaborated with local contractors to undertake upgrades, designed to improve durability and create homelier spaces.

Marc Mead, area facilities construction manager, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Albert Road to transform their home. The people we support expressed their desire for a bright green en-suite, and that was what we delivered.

“This refurbishment reflects our commitment to creating safe, welcoming and personalised environments that empower independence. We’re proud of the transformation and look forward to continuing investment at other services.”

Investment at neurological services

The investment at Albert Road is part of a series of upgrades to several specialist neurological services operated by National Care Group. Other recent refurbishments include:

• Almost £60K investment at Rosglenand Deepdale Neurological Centre has transformed internal spaces at both sites.
• Phase two of development to enhance Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitationwill start later in the year. During phase one of the investment, the kitchen, garden, and treatment room were carefully upgraded and modernised.
