Charity Kennedy’s Disease UK has just completed a spectacular road trip from Los Angeles to Rome, totalling a whopping 6,600 miles.

We spoke to event organiser Kim Slowe, who gave us all the details of how the road trip went, why it’s so important to raise awareness of the disease and how a 35-year-old Citroen CV2 was able to survive the milage (and the brutal pot holes of Detroit).

“The purpose of the Road Trip is to raise awareness of Kennedy’s Disease and to raise much-needed funds for the
research programme.

“Wherever possible, Kennedy’s Disease sufferers will participate in the event. The proceeds from the event will be used to fund both the US and European research programmes.” – Kennedy’s Disease UK
