About the Role
As the Business Relationship Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing long-term market strategies, leading complex commercial negotiations, and fostering sustainable partnerships with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and Commissioners. Your work will directly contribute to our organisation’s growth, aligning with both our objectives and public health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Planning: Develop and implement market entry and growth strategies based on macro trends and demographic insights.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead negotiations on commercial agreements, fee structures, and SLAs, focusing on long-term value.
- Financial Acumen: Analyse costs, profit margins, and ROI to ensure commercially viable deals and sustainable growth.
- Tender & Bid Management: Lead and write compelling tender submissions and framework applications.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with hospital discharge teams, CHC leads, and community health organisations.
- Data-Driven Forecasting: Interpret market data and trends to forecast demand and guide investment decisions.
- Value Proposition Design: Define and communicate our unique selling propositions to corporate and government audiences.
- Senior Stakeholder Influence: Engage and influence senior decision-makers, navigating complex political environments.
- Competitor Analysis: Map the competitive landscape and advise on differentiation strategies.
- Contract Oversight: Ensure compliance with sector regulations and mitigate operational and legal risks.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Business or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in strategic business development within health, social care, or public sector markets.
- Demonstrable success in high-value partnership development and senior stakeholder management.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in profit modelling and commercial negotiations.
- Expertise in tender writing and bid management.
- Data-driven decision-making skills and market analysis competency.
