Bringing professionals together to bridge the gaps in recovery

Following the success of its inaugural Southampton event, Agincare’s Complex Injury Partnership Programme (CIPP) is bringing its ‘Injury to Independence’ seminar to London on 8 September, creating an opportunity for professionals across health, care, rehabilitation and legal services to explore how better collaboration can improve outcomes for people recovering from traumatic injury.
The Southampton event highlighted a challenge familiar to many NR Times readers – while expertise exists across every stage of the recovery journey, services can often become fragmented at the very moment individuals need joined-up support the most.
Joining up care and support
Agincare Director and Shareholder, Adam Luckhurst said: “The lived experiences shared at our Injury to Independence seminar powerfully reinforced our belief that the answer is not simply another care service.
“Agincare’s Complex Injury Partnership Programme is a fully connected ecosystem that bridges the gaps between healthcare, legal services, case management, rehabilitation, and long-term support around the person.”
From injury to independence
The London event will continue that conversation, bringing together expert speakers and professionals from across the sector to share insights, challenge thinking and explore practical solutions to improving coordination in complex injury care.
Sam Mayes, Managing Director of Agincare’s Home and Live-in Care Services, believes collaboration is essential to achieving better outcomes.
“The event creates a space for professionals to share perspectives, challenge thinking and build the connections needed to improve coordination in practice,” she says.
“Attendees will hear from experts across healthcare, legal and rehabilitation services, alongside stories from people with lived experience of traumatic injury, which bring to life the real-world impact of the recovery journey.”
The themes at the heart of the event reflect the purpose behind Agincare’s Complex Injury Partnership Programme (CIPP), a specialist service designed to help bridge the gaps that can occur between hospital discharge, rehabilitation, and long-term community support.
Meeting challenges
For case managers, legal professionals, and healthcare teams, one of the greatest challenges following catastrophic injury is ensuring continuity of care. Delays in sourcing support, communication barriers between providers and inconsistencies in service delivery can all impact rehabilitation outcomes and slow progress towards independence.
CIPP was established to address these challenges through a partnership-led approach that brings together specialist care expertise, clinical understanding, and operational resilience within a single coordinated framework.
Working alongside case managers, solicitors, insurers, and rehabilitation professionals, to provide a seamless care pathway that adapts as needs evolve, CIPP helps reduce disruption, improve communication and support long-term recovery goals.
Bringing people together
As demand grows for more integrated approaches to rehabilitation and long-term support, Agincare’s seminar in London on 8 May offers a valuable opportunity for professionals to learn from peers, expand their networks and explore new ways of working together.
For those involved in supporting people after traumatic injury, the message is clear: better outcomes depend on better connections.
Through initiatives such as the ‘Injury to Independence’ event and the wider work of CIPP, Agincare is helping to bring the sector together around a shared ambition, creating a smoother, more coordinated pathway for those at the centre of support.
