Awards search for Rehab Outcome of the Year

The teams and individuals behind the life-changing outcomes in neuro-rehab are to be acknowledged in the inaugural NR Times Awards.

The Rehab Outcome of the Year Award looks at how the effective support and bespoke rehabilitation of people with neurological illness or injury can enable them to exceed all expectations in how they move forward in their lives.

The award looks to shine a light on individuals, single teams or multi-disciplinary teams whose work has helped to achieve outstanding outcomes for patients.

Entrants can share case studies to help articulate their work, showing how a person has progressed through the power of neuro-rehab and the sheer dedication of those involved.

The Rehab Outcome of the Year Award is one of 12 open for entry in the first-ever NR Times Awards, which have been created to recognise the inspirational work and levels of dedication and innovation being seen across this specialist branch of healthcare.

The award is sponsored by Elysium Neurological Services, a division of Elysium Healthcare, who are also headline sponsor of the overall NR Times Awards.

The provider has specialised neurological care homes and hospitals across England and deliver services across five clinical pathways: neuro-rehabilitation, neurobehavioural rehabilitation, complex physical care, neuroprogressive conditions and complex dementias.

“Striving for excellence in clinical practice and celebrating each other’s achievements is vital to ensure that patients and their families continue to benefit from improved rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life,” says Professor Quazi Haque, executive medical director of Elysium Healthcare.

“The inaugural NR Times Awards plays an important role in shining a spotlight on some of the best innovation in the sector, and Elysium Neurological Services are delighted to be the headline sponsor, as well as being sponsor for the Rehab Outcome category.”

Deborah Johnson, editor of NR Times, adds: “Through the work of individuals and teams, people with life-changing injury or illness are being supported to look to a future that may at one time have seemed impossible.

“The commitment, dedication and skill involved in delivering these outcomes is truly inspirational, and we want to find examples of this for our Rehab Outcome of the Year Award.

“For many people, this will simply be ‘doing their job’ – but their work is truly life-changing for the individuals and families who are able to have hope and positivity for the future as a result of the support and interventions of the amazing rehab professionals around them.

“We would urge anyone to make a nomination themselves, or enter on behalf of others, to help us shine a light on the outstanding work we know is happening in neuro-rehab every day.”
