Case management career events held next week

Healthcare professionals who are looking to take their career and professional skills in a new direction can learn more about becoming a case manager at a series of upcoming online events.

As pressure rises and resources continue to be stretched in the NHS and statutory services, many in healthcare are looking for a change in career but where their skills remain highly relevant.

Case management is proving an appealing option for these reasons, with many companies currently actively recruiting to help deliver opportunities in frontline client work but without many of the pressures healthcare professionals will currently face.

In response, ILS Case Management is holding three virtual events to help deliver information and answer questions to those considering a move into case management.

Its Case Management Career events will be held on January 24, 25 and 26, and will cover the role of a case manager and what it means to work in a truly client-centred way at ILS.

The growing case management company specialises in providing case management for children, young people and adults who have experienced a catastrophic injury.

It is particularly looking for occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses and social workers to join its ranks – and is especially keen to hear from those with experience of working with clients who have had a brain or spinal injury and for paediatric practitioners who have experience of working with children and young people with cerebral palsy and other complex disabilities.

The sessions will last 45 minutes and will be delivered by ILS operations manager, Susie Quinlan.

As well as covering the general role of a case manager, Susie will look at ILS specifically, and its role in working with over 200 children, young people and adults nationally at any one time who are living with complex disability following a life-changing brain or spinal injury.

“As a case manager, you will consider each client’s situation individually and identify their presenting needs ensuring things that are important to the client and their family are taken into account,” say ILS, which works to ensure the support and inclusion of a client’s loved ones and support network.

ILS said new case managers will be assigned a professional mentor and will be offered “competitive terms” to join its national team.

The sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday, January 24 at 8pm
  • Wednesday, January 25 at 8pm
  • Thursday, January 26 at 1pm
