National children’s charity The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) has announced FBC Manby Bowdler as its East Midlands’ official legal partner.
FBC Manby Bowdler has been selected as one of a number of firms across the UK by CBIT in a nationwide initiative to provide free, independent legal advice to families and young people affected by childhood-acquired brain injury (ABI).
FBC Manby Bowdler, alongside Serious Injury Law, are the chosen partners for the East Midlands region, working closely with Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
Susan Todhunter, head of the serious injury team at FBC Manby Bowdler, said: “We are committed to providing the very best level of care and service to children and their families and we’re proud to be the Child Brain Injury Trust’s Legal Support Service Partner for the East Midlands.
“Our specialist lawyers understand how traumatic the consequences can be when a child acquires a brain injury, and our aim is to uncomplicate the legal process.
“CBIT does so much fantastic work to help families and children affected by brain injury, and we’re very much looking forward to working in partnership with the charity.”
Emma Harpur, Legal Support Partnership Manager at CBIT, said: “We are delighted that FBC Manby Bowdler will be our Legal Support Service Partner for the East Midlands alongside Serious Injury Law. The service allows us to offer some relief to families affected by childhood ABI and gives them direct access to legal advice in the region.
“From education rights to care and benefits, we’re here to ensure no family faces the legal system alone.”
