Could you be the Rehab Leader of the Year?

The search is on the for the Rehab Leader of the Year.

The inaugural NR Times Awards will shine a spotlight on the individuals who are leading change and driving forward innovation to enable life-changing outcomes for patients.

The Rehab Leader of the Year award, which will be decided by public vote, will give recognition to those working within neuro-rehab whose work and dedication are truly helping to redefine what is possible.

Submissions are now open and entries can be made until July 31, with the original deadline being extended to enable as many individuals from around the world to be nominated as possible. The public vote will open in August.

The Rehab Leader of the Year award is one of 12 categories open for entry in the first-ever NR Times Awards, which seek to recognise the outstanding commitment and innovation to advancing this vital branch of healthcare.

The award is sponsored by Breakthrough Case Management, a dynamic case management company which supports clients to beyond-expectation outcomes after life-changing injury.

The company stands apart from its competitors with an in-house, integrated care and rehabilitation service, rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC,  and is keen to embrace the use of innovative rehabilitation technology in its work.

Annabelle Lofthouse, director and co-founder of Breakthrough, says: “As a person-centred company, with years of experience working with some exceptional rehab providers, it makes sense for us to be collectively championing these incredible people and professionals working in the sector.

“This is an opportunity to honour those that have gone the extra mile, demonstrated leadership in the rehabilitation field, made significant contributions to the advancement of rehabilitation services and ultimately improved client outcomes.

“As case managers, we advocate daily for the individual, amplifying their voice in their own rehabilitation journey, giving voices to those who may not find it easy to speak up.

“Similarly, we are acutely aware that often it is not the most prominent names or well-known companies and dedicated professionals in the sector who achieve deserved recognition. Some heroes fly under the radar.

“It is our hope that this award will shine a light on some of those striving to provide exceptional rehabilitation services who may not ordinarily be included in an awards event.”

Deborah Johnson, editor of NR Times, adds: “The Rehab Leader of the Year award seeks to highlight the incredible individuals whose work is truly changing lives, and whose commitment to doing so is helping to inspire those around them in changing patients’ outcomes and lives.

“While many leaders already enjoy a high profile, we know that many others do not – but this award seeks to shine a light particularly on those whose contribution is perhaps less known.

“We would love to hear from rehab leaders themselves, or from peers who are keen for them to be recognised, as we highlight the fantastic leadership we see everyday from those working within neuro-rehab and the patient outcomes they are committed to achieving.”
