A neurological rehabilitation centre in Worcester has been given a glowing report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The report, which rated Inspire Neurocare Worcester as ‘Good’ across its five inspection criteria – is the service safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led? – praised the home for treating residents with dignity and respect.
Inspire Neurocare Worcester provides rehabilitation, long-term and respite care for people living with brain and spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease.
The inspection, which took place in mid-October, concluded that the service had made improvements with person centred care, overall governance and quality assurance systems.
Inspectors said that these improvements had a positive impact on people’s lives and that people were treated with kindness and compassion at Inspire Worcester.
The CQC report included heartwarming feedback from families, with one relative sharing: “They take good care of them; they go above and beyond”.
Another family member emphasised the positive atmosphere and quality of care, saying: “I love it there. It’s always clean and very spacious.”
One person described staff as, “more like friends than carers”.
Claudiu Patrintasu, Clinical Lead, said he was delighted that Inspire Neurocare Worcester had received such a positive report from the CQC.
He said: “We are so pleased with this result, which reflects the exceptional work of our dedicated team.
“At Inspire Neurocare Worcester, we take great pride in providing person-centred care that not only ensures safety and comfort but also actively supports our residents in their rehabilitation journeys.
“Through personalised therapy plans, innovative activities, and strong community links, we empower individuals to regain independence and achieve their goals.
“This recognition by the CQC inspires us to continue raising the bar for neurological care.”
Inspire Neurocare is particularly suitable for younger adults (18 – 65) living with complex needs, who want to maintain a high level of independence whilst also receiving the specialist care and support they require.
The home, on Oldbury Road, has 43 spacious en-suite bedrooms, a 32 square metre physiotherapy gym and dedicated areas for families and individuals to come together to cook, eat and relax.
