Slater and Gordon reveals its official shortlist for Charity of the Year competition

At the start of 2026, Slater and Gordon launched the second year of its national Charity of the Year initiative, following the overwhelming success of last year’s programme.
After seven weeks and an overwhelming response from charities across the UK, the law firm is delighted to reveal its top ten finalists. The shortlist was selected through a careful review process led by a panel of senior representatives from Slater and Gordon:
- Madelene Holdsworth, Managing Director, Specialist Legal Services
- Janine Ferrie, Chief Marketing Officer
- Michael Dunleavy, Head of Business Development
Together, they were tasked with identifying the charities that demonstrated exceptional impact, purpose and alignment with the firm’s key areas of work.
Janine Ferrie said: “We were absolutely delighted by the response this year, with nearly three times the number of submissions compared to last year. It’s been incredibly inspiring to see so many charities putting forward such meaningful work, and choosing just ten was no easy task.
“After a rigorous and highly competitive process, we’re confident these ten finalists truly stood out for the positive impact they’re making in communities across the UK. Every organisation in the top ten should feel immensely proud of this achievement. Congratulations to our finalists, and I wish you all the very best as you move into the next stage.”
