SIA makes new legal partnership

Law firm JMW Solicitors has partnered with the Spinal Injuries Association, to increase support available to survivors of spinal cord injury (SCI). 

Covering the North West and South West, the partnership will see JMW deliver legal assistance to people with SCI, supporting them to facilitate their rehabilitation and secure the best outcome legally. 

The law firm can support with an array of aspects affecting SCI survivors, including making a claim, assisting in the return to work, Powers of Attorney and welfare benefits signposting. 

The partnership will add further to the interventions offered by the SIA to survivors nationally, supporting them to live a fulfilled live. The SIA continues to build a network of people, organisations and services which could offer relevant help, enabling it to quickly connect people with SCI to relevant sources of support. 

The relationship also includes the direct involvement of Cathy Leech, head of the SCI team at JMW, who brings over two decades of experience working with SIA. 

Cathy has won SIA awards for both fundraising and excellence in legal care.
