
Prominent neuro rehab technology innovator and UC Berkeley engineer Homayoon Kazerooni has been elected to the National Academy of Inventors.
The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) has today the election of 170 inventors to its 2024 Class of Fellows, including inventor Homayoon Kazerooni.
Kazerooni is a roboticist, mechanical engineering, professor of mechanical engineering, and founder of Ekso Bionics – an exoskeleton company developing technologies and exoskeletons that enable paralysed individuals to stand and walk, enhance worker capabilities, and provides research for the advancement of R&D projects intended to benefit U.S. defence capabilities.
Dr. Paul Sanberg, FNAI, President of the NAI, stated: “This year’s Class of NAI Fellows represents a truly impressive calibre of inventors. Each of these individuals are tackling real-world issues and creating solutions that propel us into the future.

The NAI has stated that the 2024 cohort of Fellows exemplifies the Academy’s belief that groundbreaking innovation knows no bounds and inventors can be found everywhere.
