A pioneering new system which enables healthcare providers to better monitor and manage Parkinson’s patients is being exhibited at an event for specialist nurses next week.
Award-winning Parkinson’s disease management software provider Kinetikos Health is sponsoring and exhibiting at the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist Association (PDNSA) Conference, which brings together nurses nationally.
The Kinetikos system, being adopted in locations across the UK, enables healthcare providers like Parkinson’s nurses to better monitor and manage their patients, enabling patients to receive support and treatment remotely using mKinetikos smartphone app.
Through the platform, nurses can see real time monitoring data, modify prescriptions, communicate with patients and send out tests and scores for the patients to complete.
Developed with Parkinson’s nurses and allied healthcare professionals in mind, Kinetikos reduces unnecessary appointments, enables risk stratification and prioritised follow up, saving time for both healthcare providers and patients.
The PDNSA Conference, held in Coventry on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, will also offer the chance for nurses to test the Kinetikos platform.
The platform enables:
- 24/7 remote clinical practice, 365 days a year, to fill the gap between in-person visits and the 98 per cent of time patients spend in self-care;
- Clinicians to gain access to continuum, objective and patient-centred information, allowing them to better manage their patients, addressing first the ones in most need of care;
- Patients to become connected with their healthcare team and fully empowered to self-manage their condition;
- Health providers to better manage their resources, increasing efficiency around 3x RoI by reduction on unnecessary outpatient consultations and admissions/hospitalisations.
The Kinetikos system is a Medical Device Class II and DTAC certified allowing for fully compliant use within the NHS. The mKinetikos smartphone app has also received a high score of 83 per cent by ORCHA confirming its suitability for use in health and care systems.
Chris Gee, UK support lead at Kinetikos Health, said: “We are very excited about demonstrating our solution at the PDNSA event to show how the solution is easing the burden on nurses’ time and allowing them to manage and prioritise their patients more effectively.”
Kinetikos Health is inviting clinics and Trusts to join the growing numbers using the digital platform, with the option of a clinical evaluation of the Kinetikos platform. Interested clinics, Trusts and nurses can register at: https://lnkd.in/di_Rcgg2
